Patrick Berna, Ph.D, CEO
Patrick is developing drugs for more than 25 years. Prior to founding Kinathera, he created and managed Balmes Transplantation (2016-2020), he was Chief Development Officer (2006-2015) and a member of the Management Board (2010-2015) of Trophos, a biotech startup acquired by Roche Pharmaceuticals for more than 400M€ in 2015.
Patrick was previously Director of Nintedanib and Afatinib R&D Projects at Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach, Germany (2003-2005), Team Leader Projects Early Clinical Development and discovery at Pfizer, Parke-Davis and Jouveinal (1996-2003). Patrick wrote or co-authored more than twenty peer-reviewed publications and generated more than 15 patent applications.
He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from UTC, France and has been trained in the management of innovative companies at the IFG, France.

Carole Valenti, Pharm.D, CDO
Carole has over 20 years of experience in biotechnology across a wide variety of structures : start-ups, CRO and pharmaceutical companies.
Her experience covers : preclinical, pharmaceutical development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, quality and management. Previously Chief Development Officer at Coral Biome, CMC Director at Trophos, Senior Manager – Drug development program at Aptuit/ Quintiles –UK and Pilot Plant– Commercial Manufacturing Manager at Merck KgA/ Lipha. Throughout her career in France and the UK, Carole has acquired an advanced expertise in international R&D program management and strategic development.
Carole holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Nancy and Chemical Engineering degree from ENSIC.
